Bhagavad Gita Chapter 7: Knowledge & Wisdom

Krsna, after six chapters of inspired oration, realises that Arjuna has still not understood what he has been speaking. While Arjuna has the requisite knowledge, he is unable to act because he has not absorbed its wisdom. To stimulate Arjuna's thinking, Krsna now presents the knowledge from a fresh perspective. Beginning with an analysis of the world, Krsna details how Brahman permeates the universe. He emphasises the importance of choosing the eternal Spirit over the ephemeral world. He describes the four types of spiritual seekers in the world and concludes the chapter by saying only the wise who seek Brahman find the lasting happiness of Enlightenment.
